Perkins, Osgood (Regisseur), James, Theo (Darsteller), Wood Filme Editorial Review
The Monkey Blu-ray blends horror and dark humor in a unique way, directed by Osgood Perkins, known for his previous work on Longlegs. The film features a sinister toy monkey that plays a crucial role in its unsettling narrative, exploring themes of death and unpredictability. Critics have praised the film for its originality and entertaining elements, though some noted that it falters in pacing and depth, with shorter-than-expected horror scenes. Viewers described it as a mix of macabre humor and a critique of life's fragility, delivering a bizarre yet somewhat enjoyable experience, even if it doesn't reach the heights of its predecessor.
