The Mini tankless electric water heater ships with a flow restrictor, compensating aerator to provide warm water for hand washing. The aerator must be installed for the unit to work correctly. The Nichrome (nickel-chromium) bare-wire heating element in all Mini Series models is controlled by a flow switch to prevent dry-firing and failure, and is additionally equipped with a safety high-limit with manual reset.
