- This is the newest revision of the FTDI Basic breakout which now uses a smaller and more compact SMD 6-pin header on the bottom.
- It is a basic breakout board for the FTDI FT232RL USB to serial IC, designed to match the pinout of the FTDI cable and work with official and cloned 5V Arduino-Compatible boards.
- The board brings out the DTR pin, enabling auto-reset when a new sketch is downloaded, eliminating the need to manually reset the board.
- It features TX and RX LEDs for visual verification of serial traffic, uses a Mini-B cable, and is designed to reduce development costs and increase ease of use for Arduino projects.
