DVD Editorial Review
**** "Deadline USA" is a classic film that has garnered a plethora of positive feedback from fans and cinema enthusiasts alike. The film shines due to its suspenseful narrative and powerful performances, especially from the magnetic Humphrey Bogart, who plays the role of a newspaper publisher with charisma and command. Many viewers appreciate the film's strong thematic elements, reflecting on the moral complexities of journalism and truth—which resonate strongly in today's media landscape. The quality of the Blu-ray presentation has been praised for its solid sound and excellent print, providing an immersive viewing experience. However, a common complaint among users is the lack of subtitle options, which some feel would enhance the experience by making the dialogue more accessible. Despite this shortcoming, many Consider it an excellent addition to their collection, reaffirming that "Deadline USA" captures the essence of a bygone era in American cinema, characterized by integrity and a righteous quest against evil. Film historians and fans alike laud the extra features, such as soundtracks that include insights from well-regarded figures like Eddie Muller, which enrich the overall experience. "Deadline USA" is not just watched; it is reflected upon and appreciated for its storytelling, making it a timeless piece that continues to strike chords with audiences even today. **
