The range is dependent on the setup location, and it is essential to move the antenna around to get the best channel reception. The knob on the front of the base can be used to adjust the quality of the TV reception, and the antenna should be zeroed in on the best signal intuitively. Some customers have had varying experiences with this antenna. One customer found that it broke after one month and is incapable of returning it. Another found that the dial on the front face of the base is intermittent and lacks notches. Other customers reported well-functioning antennas and found that they produce better reception than amplified flat antennas, efficiently picking up 36 channels.
