The Fender Rumble 500 2x10 Bass Combo Amp offers plenty of volume, versatile tonal variations, and has lots of headroom when running two cabinets. The addition of an external speaker cabinet is required to achieve the maximum 500 watts. It is lightweight, making it easy to carry with one hand, but there is no option for a mute switch. One customer had trouble with the jewelled light flickering and dying, but this was merely a one-off event. Another customer was disappointed in the mud sound and hollowness, which stemmed from the bass combo sounding like a generic bass combo, but they remedied it with an EQ/booster pedal. Overall, this is a very good combo amp that for its size is light and portable, has lots of tonal variations, and packs a punch, perfect for full-band rehearsal or smaller gigs.
