The Attwood Outboard Fuel Filter is a well-designed fuel filter that can protect your outboard motor from potential damage. This filter is barbed for 1/4" and 5/16" fuel lines, which makes it compatible with most outboards. It's effortless to install and goes between the tank and motor in the fuel line. One thing to keep in mind is that it does not remove any water from the gas can; instead, it prevents physical media such as rust, particles, dirt, etc., from clogging your carb. If water in the gas can is a concern, it's better to look for a filter with a water separator. Overall, this fuel filter is an excellent investment to protect your outboard motor and increase its lifespan.
