The MS15X-S1 XY/Rotation Base, designed for use with the Dino-Lite MS35B, is a good addition to anyone's setup for high magnification needs. The rotating table is smooth and well-made, providing a good experience. It's essential to note that some units might have manufacturing defects, which leads to issues with the supply brackets, as they do not hold on to the base. While the Dino-lite "gooseneck" and simple portable stand controls are inadequate at high magnifications, the MS15X-S1 XY/Rotation Base helps. The base allows you to scroll through rough material and focus accordingly. Still, for relatively high magnifications, it is recommended to buy the "fine" stand. One axis might not be "precision-machined for smooth, controlled movement," which is disappointing since the gear might be misaligned to the teeth, causing the base to skip and jump along. However, the product is generally as expected.
