The BRINKS 172-40401 40mm Laminated Steel Padlock is a set of four locks which are keyed alike. They have a decent locking mechanism with up to two security pins in each lock, making them harder to pick than some of the other locks in the same price category. The four locks in the set can be opened by the same key, which is convenient. However, some customers have reported that the locks are not as sturdy as they expected and are easily picked by experienced lock pickers. Another issue is that the set comes in two, two-packs, with two locks keyed one way and the other two keyed another way, which means that one key will not fit all four locks.
