Latin Percussion LP1500 Cajon Pedal
The Latin Percussion LP1500 Cajon Pedal is a cable-type pedal that is great for double and triple hits and has a solid, meaty sound. It is recommended that non-cable pedals are used if possible but the LP1500 does what it is supposed to do. The beater should be high enough to hit the sweet spot of a subwoofer cajon, and there should be enough adjustment range in the height of the beater to align it properly. The cable can be an issue as it can come out of the groove on the beater side of the pedal assembly and if not reset, it will shred and break. However, LP has been quick to help with replacement cables. It is suggested to play on a carpet or with a rug underneath to prevent sliding. Overall, it sounds great, has a decent response, is well-built, and offers a nice low end bass tone for quiet acoustic gigs.
