The Cuisinart 9-Inch Round Cake Pan is a solid and durable pan that can handle high heat. It has a straight edge, making it suitable for baking layered cakes. However, it is important to grease the pan well to prevent sticking. The pan is not coated with one of the newer safe non-stick coatings. Color can affect baking, with darker pans absorbing more heat. The pan is PTFE-coated and does contain PTFE. It measures 14 1/2 inches in diameter with the flange. These pans do not nest or fit inside one another when storing. Overall, they are highly recommended for their baking performance.
