Marcy Utility Bench Editorial Review
The Marcy Utility Bench is a great option for those who are looking for a sturdy and affordable bench. The assembly process is straightforward and can be done within an hour with the right tools. While the incline portion of the bench does have some slight swaying when pushed back and forth, this is not noticeable when seated on it. The leg pads are easily removable, and although there is a small gap in the decline position, it is still comfortable for sit-ups with a bit of adjustment. The bench is long enough to support the head of someone who is 5'10". It is adjustable and can be customized to fit individual preferences. Some customers did mention that they had to add extra padding around the knee pad/holders for added comfort. Additionally, there is a design flaw where there is a 2-3 inch space between the seat pad and the backrest in the flat or fully declined position. This can be remedied by adding a rolled-up towel. Overall, the Marcy Utility Bench is a well-made and easy-to-assemble bench for a great price.
