It has a smartphone adapter clip that helps take pictures and is great for examining trichromes on cannabis. It has a scratch on the lens problem, which is irritating. The magnification function works well, and it's useful to see grains in fossils. However, some customers had trouble getting it to focus and found it hard to use for pictures due to the alignment of the microscope lens and the steadiness of a hand-held device.
