Drama Editorial Review
The Master is a moody and complex film that may leave viewers confused and unattached to the characters. However, it is a great achievement in terms of production quality and stellar performances. The story revolves around a WWII veteran with PTSD and a charismatic cult leader resembling L. Ron Hubbard. The acting by Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman is superb, and the direction by Paul Thomas Anderson is masterful. Although the film may not resonate with everyone, it is a thought-provoking and visually stunning piece of cinema.
