Mining Editorial Review

**** The book "Applied Geophysics" by Telford has established itself as a staple reference within the geophysics community, especially among educators and students. Reviewers Consistently highlight the book's solid technical content, which includes detailed mathematical derivations and methodologies pertinent to the field of geophysics. Its depth and comprehensiveness make it suitable for graduate-level studies, and many instructors have chosen to assign it in advanced courses due to its invaluable insights for readers engaging in geophysical practices. Despite its acclaim for content, the reception is somewhat mixed regarding its physical format. Many reviewers express dissatisfaction with the paperback version, citing concerns over durability and quality. While the knowledge contained is still relevant and essential, customers have pointed out degradation in text legibility and imagery, likely due to subpar printing processes. This raises frustration among users who expect a better physical representation for the investment they make, especially for a book that may be subjected to extensive use in practical settings such as field camps. Nonetheless, the availability of the book in Kindle format has been received positively, as it provides an alternative for those looking for a more durable and portable option. Ultimately, while "Applied Geophysics" continues to be highly regarded for its academic merit and value, customers fervently hope for improvements in the physical quality of the publication. **
