Algebra Editorial Review
The 5th edition of Introduction to Linear Algebra by Professor Strang is a comprehensive introduction to linear algebra, containing a lot of information in a brief format. The book is very computational and lacks proofs, making it unsuitable for those pursuing a pure math major, but perfect for those in other majors or applied math. The book is accompanied by an online lecture series that follows most of the material in the text, and there are helpful definitions found in the problem sets that are not in the primary material. However, customers have reported issues with the formatting of the Kindle edition, with many pages blank or unreadable due to scanning and OCR errors. The hardcover version is recommended, although some customers have complained about the small font size. Overall, the book is Considered a worthwhile introduction to linear algebra, but may not be satisfactory for those seeking a deeper understanding.
