The Anderson Hitches Lowered Aluminum Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection is a reliable and efficient hitch that makes it easy to connect and disconnect your fifth wheel trailer. It is lightweight and easy to install and remove, making it perfect for everyday use. One customer reported that the Andersen hitch was very useful when their landing gear in their fifth wheel failed. They were able to jack up the fifth wheel trailer and back under the Andersen hitch and lower the trailer onto the hitch. This would not have been possible with a traditional fifth wheel hitch that requires you to back into it hard to lock it in. Another customer has been using the hitch for 3 years with a short bed Ram truck and has always had enough clearance to back the fifth wheel into any campsite without any issues. The kit includes all the necessary components except for the goose neck ball unit that goes in the truck bed. This should be purchased separately.
