Is there an adapter for 3” copper pipe?
Answer: No the largest copper pipe diameter that it has is 2 1/8” O.D. (Outside diameter) -
Question:
Need to freeze two sections of 3/4 copper pipes at the same time, do you have extra adaptors and the t to divive the co2?
Answer: Carbon dioxide freezing simply does not work, the formation of dry ice, water does not freeze. Extra adaptors need to be made by yourself -
Question:
Has anyone tried it on a 1.25 inch lead water line?
Answer: Yes, this product works on lead water lines. Ive frozen many lead water services underground with it. Works great -
Question:
Will it work on 1/2” copper if water is flowing? For any line for that matter?
Answer: It will not work on 3/4 ( copper) with any flow, we even tried with both freeze heads side by side so I don’t know on 1/2, you may need nitrogen, if it’s copper cut it live and jam on an open shark bite ball valve then close. -
Question:
Hello please advise if the kit works on airconditioning systems, if the liquid in the pipe is refrigerant at around 200 psi not flowing.
Answer: It would only work on a water system. Most other refrigerants boil well below water's freezing point. Getting it low enough to freeze solid would be nearly impossible. -
Question:
is it going to damage cpvc tubes
Answer: I have only used it in copper and steel. I have not used in in Cpvc. YOU CAN DO A TEST ON SMALL PIPE WITH WATER AND SEE IF THE EXPANSION WILL CRACK IT.
