Atwood 91858 Door Hardware Kit
The Atwood 91858 Door Hardware Kit is a great replacement option for rusty or broken hardware on your water heater. The kit includes shiny new parts that fit perfectly and are easy to install. One nice surprise is the inclusion of a replacement sticker for the inside of the door which is handy for squaring away the appearance of an older unit. The hinges are plated steel but the hinge retainers are bare steel which would have been better. The kit also includes a cam lock that is simple to install but may not be as intuitive. To remove the old cam lock, compress the spring from the rear, rotate the metal ring in the front 90 degrees in either direction, and it'll pop right off allowing the spring to be removed from the rear. The installation of the new cam lock is the reverse procedure.
